Marie Byrne

President/CEO of Sapphire Title & Settlement Agency, Ltd.

Born and raised in New York City, Marie began her title insurance career as a typist in a small, but very active Brooklyn title agency, in 1989. Responding to a classified ad in a local paper, and having just given birth to her first child in December of 1988, Marie worked four nights a week typing title certificates. It was only a matter of time before she was asked to come on board in a full time capacity.

What began, as a part-time position became a full-time career. Driven by a personal desire to succeed, and motivated by economic factors, Marie soon found herself scaling the corporate ladder. With an insatiable thirst for knowledge, Marie rotated through almost every position available to her. Relocating to Westchester County in 1991, Marie worked with and for a number of title agents and underwriters until 1997. In her first independent venture as Vega-Byrne Associates, Marie worked the next six years expanding her knowledge and experience within the title and mortgage industry; consulting and closing for a number of title companies, attorneys and mortgage lenders. Opening her own title and settlement agency was a natural leap!

Marie and her staff at Sapphire Title refuse to participate in the recession. They are constantly looking for new and improved ways to be of service to their clients and the community.
